I really enjoy working on the ship – there is lots to do and I’m gaining knowledge everyday about the running and maintenance of the ship's engines. I’ve been crofting since I was 10 and working two weeks on, two weeks off allows me to continue to do this. My plan is to finish my apprenticeship and hopefully gain a permanent role as a Motorman and stay with CalMac for a lifelong career at sea.
